“I do…while those magical times are long gone, I am very glad to have had them.”
“Very fond memories of growing up in the 60’s and 70’s…”
“Yes! And that’s why I love collecting Vintage Christmas decorations”
“My Mom always made our Christmas so very special. My folks didn’t have a lot of money but the Christmas season was made wonderful. We had a real tree that probably cost less than $3.00 and was 6 feet tall, we had presents under the tree and family coming over. I love to try and find vintage decorations they remind me of my “years gone by” Christmases!!! Priceless memories!!”
“Wonderful Memories now am making new memories, but I do miss christmas of the past.”
“My Ma baking Spritz, Shortbread and Gingerbread cookies and all kind’s of breads, while we played Bing and the Andrew Sisters, Perry Como and Luciano Pavirotti Christmas albums!! Taking the Michigan Ave and Lonyo bus downtown to Hudson’s to see Santa!! My parent’s didn’t have much either, but we had the best Christmas’s ever!! I loved growing up in the 60’s and 70’s too!! And being the youngest of 8, I kinda got a little spoiled. 😉 ”
“My mom would bake all kind of cookies, my father always said he had to eat his supper outside because there was not a space in the kitchen for his dish LOL. Our tree was real and my dad would set up the train underneath, on Christmas morning my mom would come in at 5am and wake us up so we could see what santa left us. We didn’t have much money, but we all had one special toy in mind. After we opened our presents from santa my mom would bring down our big present from her and my dad, and lo and behold it was the special toy we wanted. Christmas was so special and magical back then, filled with love, visits from family and playing games.”
