Christmas Cupcakes can really bring your Christmas treats to life. Wouldn’t it be awesome if you could present a tray of treats like this.

If you practise, you can create wonderful cupcakes like these.
Christmas Cupcakes by Verusca
This is the Mr and Mrs Claus collection from Verusca Walker.
These are Vanilla Cupcakes decorated with fondant.
Verusca is a Brazilian artist who has been living in Australia for the past 12 years.
She has worked with cake decoration for the past 3 years, after finishing Fine Artist and Baker studies.
Verusca decided to mix her love of both industries, art and baking, and make edible art.
You can see more of Verusca’s work here: Gallery.
I think you will agree, her work is too good to eat.
How could you destroy such masterpieces?
Biting Off More Than You Can Chew
Now, I may have exaggerated earlier when I said “If you practise…”. I’m pretty sure that I could practise until the cows come home, and I still wouldn’t be able to make anything that looks as good as that.
But it would be fun to try.
And no matter how lame they look, I’m sure mine will taste just as good.
And, besides, my family is used to eating my culinary disasters.
For now I’m going to live with the dream that, if I practise, I can make something as good as these cupcakes…. before I shatter the dream by actually trying.
Looking For More Help?
I found a couple of cake decorating books on Amazon that might be helpful to you.
- Wilton Decorating Basics Course 1 – easy to follow, super cheap, and lots of positive reviews. Whilst this is not specifically about Christmas Cupcakes, it gives the basics of how to decorate. Once you know how to do it, you are only limited by your imagination.
- Cake Pops: Tips, Tricks, and Recipes for More Than 40 Irresistible Mini Treats – Cake Pops are cute mini-cakes on sticks. Your guests will love these! Check it out. I didn’t know what Cake Pops were before seeing this. I think they’re awesome.
I’m yet to try it out (still afraid of failure), but I have bought the Wilton book (above) and it looks fantastic. At that price, what have I got to lose, right? Imagine how great I am going to be at this. Now all I have to do is find a book called “Stop Being Afraid. Just Get Off Your Butt And Do It!”
What Do You Think?
